Well said. I agree with your Too many died defending our country I support veterans before refugees shirt to some extent as it is reasonable and awesome. Yet, I would like to add my thought here. I’d say the term sacrifice in the video might mean long-term success. Something that’s not meant for personal success but rather a community or nation success. For instance, a long term and larger visionary success. So that cannot be obtained by and in a person’s single lifetime such as attaining independence from a colonial rule. If that’s the case, people often pay the price with life so as to liberate their younger generation from a dictatorship or colonial rule which, by all means, is a success as well.
