November 2012: I had the opportunity to Longmire thank you for the memories signatures shirt meet Stan as he appeared at a convention one month prior to his ninetieth birthday and the convention called his appearance his early birthday celebration. I got my photo taken with him and he turns to me giving two thumbs up which is what the photo is of him and myself, he says “good boy.” I am lost for words and all I can say is, “thank you Sir happy birthday.” Leading up to August 2017 I find he is making another appearance and so many I know are telling me, “go get that photo autographed of you and him this might be your only chance to get it signed.”
