If the story’s character is for instance and you are an actor and are your range doesn’t include then the roll isn’t for you. Nothing personal. Your agent needs to be better at finding you roll that you are right for. If you are a method actor then that is fine just don’t expect to be a fit for rolls that are not your shade of method. The story and its characters were not created around each wonderfully unique and wonderful person and personality. It can’t be anything. That being said perhaps we need to realize that Hollywood does not deal in normal usually. It deals in sensationalism in the plot, character, visualizations, music, etc. So let’s not look at what Hollywood does and think it is a direct correlation to the rest of the nation or the world.
